Today, we've been climbing Catbells. We decided to take a trickier route up, which involved quite a lot of scrambling. The group were fantastic at encouraging and helping each other, especially when people began to tire. Along the way, we learnt about the geography of the Lake District, environmental issues and why the sheep were sprayed red...amongst other things!
We ate lunch on the summit, then walked down to Derwentwater, before catching a boat to Portinscale, where we ate ice-cream. Dinner time soon - chicken curry and other choices on the menu, then out to take part in a range of night challenges. The children are off getting showers at the moment, you'll be pleased to hear!
Thanks, Mr Roddy.
Enjoy everyone looks like your having a fantastic time xxx
